17th July 2007
Windsurfing: Farmoor Reservoir
Wind Direction: SSW
Wind Stength: F3-F6
Surf / Sea State: lots of chop
Air Temperature: 20
Sea Temperature:
Weather: Super gusty
Max Speed:
Distance Covered:

Way too variable really - started out with thye 6.1 as anemometer was reading 20Knots but it dropped just as I got in there, so came in and rigged the 7.6 after cruising around for 10 mins.

Wind totally died whilst rigging the 7.6 so hung around and had some lunch. It started to pick up again after about 15 mins so I headed out with the 7.6. Nicely powered up for about 10 mins and then the wind kicked back in properly (way overpowered) so came in for the 6.1.

The wind was full of massive lulls and also some viscious gusts so the rest of the afternoon was a bit of a battle as there was no correct sail size or board size. Everyone was complaining about how super gusty and lully it was so I packed up and went home ;-)

Still better than going to work though ...
